Mission Statement
The mission of this company is to provide athletes, coaches, parents, spouses of athletes, administrators, and medical teams with valuable up to date and cutting edge information on how to increase performance, how to maintain performance, and how to safely compete.

Letter from the CEO
I started the Athlete Project in 1996 when I went on a quest to find out, what makes an athlete successful. Although, it wasn't until January 2005 that I started this website. I had a very successful career in athletics. However, I suffered many down falls such as injuries and decreases in performance. In addition, I have also witnessed the many ups and downs that can follow athletics. I wanted to know why some athletes were successful and some were not, why some athletes burned out and quit competition, why athletes sustained injuries, and how some of these variables can be avoided. I wanted to provide athletes and those associated with athletics with valuable unbiased information that can improve or maintain performance, while simultaneously making sports safer. Therefore, I began compiling information and searching for ways to provide this input. For instance, one way to maintain performance is to prevent injuries. This is accomplished by maintaining playing surfaces, wearing proper equipment, eating properly, resting properly, training properly, and more. The goal of this company is to provide information to athletes and those associated with it on how to increase performance, how to maintain performance, and how to safely compete.

Athletes come in all shapes, sizes, mentalities, sexes, and ages. Therefore, we aim to provide general information, yet in some areas, provide specific information geared towards the needs of athletes. In front of every athlete, is a demanding sport. The demands placed on the body can make or break a champion. In the vision of the Athlete Project it is believed that every athlete has the potential to be a champion. One slogan we have adopted and firmly believe in is, it is not the disability of the athlete, it is the ability of the athlete. Therefore, we will leave no athlete behind as we provide resources of information to help escalate the levels of performance and safety in sports today. As the company grows more information and services will be provided for athletes, coaches, parents, spouses, administrators, and medical teams to have access to. We hope to rapidly grow in the future and turn today’s athletes into tomorrow’s champions.

Sincerely,

Thomas Craig Angle ME.d, ME.d, ATC, CSCS
