The book, How to Raise a Successful Athlete writen by Thomas Craig Angle ME.d, ME.d, ATC, CSCS will be ready to order this spring. If you are interested in knowing when the book will be available drop us an e-mail at book@athleteproject.com and we will e-mail you when it is ready to order.

This book will explore the many different disciplines that affect athletes throughout their careers. This guide will point out factors that increase or decrease your athlete’s performance and help him/her become successful. There will be an exploration of the athlete’s internal environment (body) and what makes an athlete a sprinter, an offensive lineman, or a soccer player. There will be an exploration of the external environments such as coaching, training, medical staff, facilities, home life, and other important issues that can affect performance. In each chapter, all these areas will be linked together to help you, the parent or coach, best understand the factors that face an athlete today. In addition, there will be a discussion on what is expected of and what factors will affect the athlete at the next level. With this book, you will be able to smooth over some of the terrain that lies in the path of your athlete and help your athlete become more successful at his/her sport. In order to be successful, an athlete must remain happy, healthy, and injury free.

Professional athletes have sports nutritionists, sports psychologists, orthopedic surgeons, athletic trainers, sports therapists, biomechanists, exercise physiologists, strength coaches, message therapist, cooks, maids, field grounds crews, and any other staff or device that may help them increase their performance, maintain their performance, and alleviate stress that decreases performance. These staffs are assembled to help athletes perform to the best of their capabilities. Professional athletic organizations spend millions of dollars every year, and employ many different scientific disciplines in order to maintain or increase an athlete’s success. Never before have the principles and practices of professional athletic organizations been written between two covers until now. These staffs do not exist in middle school, high school, recreational programs, or club sport programs. Therefore, I have enclosed the knowledge of all these disciplines and more into one book that is interesting and simple to read so that you can give your athlete some of the benefits that a college or professional athlete has to make him/her successful.
